Axios

As a Visual Journalist and Editorial Illustrator at Axios, I create 15-20 original illustrations every week for newsletters spanning topics including finance, politics, the environment, healthcare, technology and science. I also conduct archival and wire photo research for stories.

ProPublica

From August 2019 to February 2021, I worked at ProPublica, assisting with art direction, building stories in our content management system and creating original illustrations for articles, including all of the illustrations above. One of my supervisors or coworkers art directed each piece, including: Lisa Larson-Walker, David Sleight, Hannah Birch, Jillian Kumagai, Vignesh Ramachandran and Andrea Wise.

Paper Monuments

From 2017 to 2019, I worked as a part-time Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Art Director for Paper Monuments, designing and illustrating event flyers and posters, keeping our online poster galleries up to date, assisting with art direction and artist management, as well as laying out and coordinating the printing of our bi-monthly newspapers.
